Professor X's Timber Table?

I'd imagine that if X-Men's Professor Xavier had a timber table built, it might look a little like this! Now this is not the first custom design with the "X" leg table. Each one is unique to the customer but the "X" as you can see is a distinct design element.
Below are some images taken during the building process.

This timber table was built from spruce timbers reclaimed from a Hamiota grain elevator in Manitoba! One of kind!

When the Bell Rings, the people will come!

Back in May I posted about the 105 year old Bell Hotel Lighthouse Mission being transformed for an estimated 40 homeless Winnipegers. The construction is nearing completion and I had a brief opportunity today to stop in and take a few photos of how the reclaimed fir we cleaned up looked. Have a look below!

The fir was reclaimed from existing beams that were ultimately planed down, cut to size, hand sanded and finished with OSMO Polyx Hardwax Oil. The overall look feel is great as it warmed up the stair well in contrast with subdued greys! The grand opening is slated for July 14th.
